A downloadable TTRPG
Little Mary entered the dark forest...
What did she find?
This is a game I made for the 36 word TTRPG jam, which means I could only write 36 words for it. I decided I'd make up for the lack of words with lots of pictures and that's how I came up with the whole image interpretation mechanic. It's simple, but personally, I think it's very fun! I decided to make it in a forest to fit the jam's theme (nature and growth) and I decided that in the images I'd have a more dark horror tone to it. I enjoyed making this so much I think I might make variations of it with different settings.
IMPORTANT - Printing instructions
This is very important for this game because you'll need to print the cards to play.
First you'll need to download either the full color version or the printer friendly version. Then in the folder you'll find the following files:
Cards.pdf - These are the cards. You need to print these if you wanna play. This version has no backing to the cards so you won't need to print double sided.
Cards-double-sided.pdf - These are the cards again, but this time the cards have a backing. It's purely aestethic, but if you like them to have a pretty backing, then print this version double sided along the long edge.
Zine.pdf - This is the printable version of the instructions for the game. It's in the format of a 8 page minizine. Just print it in an A4 sheet of paper, cut the white borders off and then fold it according to these instructions.
Read.pdf - In case you don't wan to print the instructions, this is a version you can read on the computer screen.
Thanks for playing!

I love this so much! It's such a cute narrative game, with such pen-to-interpretation cards. And your artwork is incredible, you did SO much with only two colors, and the vibes of this game just drip off of the pages. Also I'm SO happy to see a zine in the 36-word RPG jam!!!! We love making zines and this is incredible.
I printed two copies of the cards and one of the zines so we can play this later 🧡
